Company History

Tigard Door Co. was founded in the summer of 1988 by Loy "Tex" Nix as a local garage door service company. After working many years for Crawford Door Co., Tex with the assistance of his wife Marsha set out on their own by offering service to the local community and the immediate surrounding areas. After several years they brought in their son Dave to the business. With Dave's experience and his attention to detail he quickly became a master installer.

When Dave took over the business in 2004 he added the name "All About Doors" as a brand of custom wood carriage house garage doors. All About Doors and Tigard Door Co. firmly stand behind the products that we sell. Through the years we have tried and tested all types of garage door products. Our mission is to educate the customer and advise them to make the right decision on all products that will fit their need as well as their budget. We will not sell or install any product that we do not believe in.

To this day our company is still family owned and operated. Our technician, installer and office staff were all brought into the business and taught by Dave, Tex and Marsha. We consider all of our staff as "family". We all agree in the same philosophy and share in the camaraderie of what was taught from the beginning… "doing what's right for our customers".

Although Tex is officially retired he still serves as a technical consultant and Marsha still handles all of our books. Together we have over 35 years of experience in the garage door business.
